We seek a Master’s or PhD level chemist interested in and preferably experienced with medicinal chemistry. The research conducted by this chemist will involve multi-step organic synthesis on milligram to gram scale and will employ various purification and analytical techniques to enable structural determination and purity assessment.

Tetra Discovery Partners recently completed a $40 million deal with a strategic partner in Japan; it is an exciting time to see our scientific discoveries advance into Phase 2 clinical trials for both Alzheimer’s Disease and Fragile X Syndrome. Tetra Discovery Partners focuses on the synthesis of phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) allosteric inhibitors for treating Alzheimer’s disease, depression and traumatic brain injury. We are a leader in the application of structure-based drugs to this class of targets.
About the role

- MS/PhD degree in chemistry.
- Organic chemistry lab experience gained through post-graduate work, an internship, or campus-based lab work is preferred.
- Exposure to and preferably experience with synthetic organic methods, silica gel chromatography, and common analytical techniques including, for example, NMR and LC-MS.
- Prior experience with discovery of CNS active drugs will make you a standout candidate.
- Prior experience with structure-based drug design is a plus.
- Strong written and oral skills.
